Disappointing results, short lifespan, no customer service

This kit was purchased at a bathroom renovation to finish off an old ceramic coated cast iron kitchen sink. The sink was originally sanded and rust or chips have been repaired with JB Weld and sanded smooth. After the sanding was complete, the sink was fully degreased and twice thoroughly wiped with the toilet cleaner recommended in bathroom products to ensure no extra grease or scum was left on the sink. He was allowed to preheat for 10 hours until his temperature also reached 75Β°F. The material was mixed for 10 minutes while stirring with a wooden stir stick, ensuring that the walls and bottom were scraped and bonded during the mixing process and that all the material was contained in both parts A and B. The material was allowed to sit for an additional 10 minutes, then stirred again for an additional 1-2 minutes until ready for pouring. Putting the material on the sink was the easiest part of the operation. However, it was found that after applying and pressing the supplied roller down the top, sides and bottom of the tub, the material showed signs of cracking, cratering and orange peel, and yet would not self-level - the pool substrate is perfectly smooth, and the one left alone Product will never be flattened. and if there was material left after the first sanding, sand with 500 to 1500 grit sandpaper and then buff with car polish. that the color does not match the original color of the kit, or buy a small portion of the A/B kit in sizes from 100 to 300g, which is 1 1/4 cups each. So it would be close to $100 for me if I kept trying. No reaction regarding the product's inability to self-level or the craters I left or the crumpled surface. A small touch-up kit needs to be purchased about twice. That's almost the same price as the original $100 kit, originally bought at the risk of repeating this process and failing again with more money and wasted time. a reasonable explanation as to why the product failed even on my install despite following the manufacturer's instructions for mixing, preparing and applying. The only suggestion I was given was to buy additional kits, material and sand and start over. It's worth noting that this kit, purchased from Bath Solutions, is boxed by a person, not by Ecopel directly. So potential human error could have come into play and the kit I received was either not measured correctly, could be from old stock or there could be some other additional defect e.g. B. the material was bad. cured and hardened within three days, attempts were made to grind it, however the formation of craters at almost any point on the shell resulted in grinding down to the base of the shell, and it was found that there was no mechanical connection between the Ekopel and the shell itself gave as you might Tapping into the Ekopel light despite the seller claiming they hit their tub with a frying pan and sustained no damage, this also leads me to believe that the batch I received was bad. The Ecopelle could be peeled and scraped off with very little resistance, which in turn led me to believe the product itself was defective and never fully cured or installed. Again the seller made no further explanation or tried to help just to buy more and try again. In summary I am disappointed in both the seller and the product and given the results I and others have experienced here would strongly recommend caution when purchasing this kit in the future. I have been working with epoxy for several years and have installed multiple countertops, tables, sinks and bowls with no problem just as I had done with Ekopel. frustrated that I thought I had the backing of a local business to help and support when I needed it. All I got was an offer to buy more stuff and try again!
