Very bright sea lantern

Very happy with the lanterns so far. Bought 2 for my 8 foot 200 gallon aquarium. That was 72 watts each. I had 96 watts actinic plus 96 watts 50/50. So each 72w bulb replaces my old 192w bulb. Since I have 2, the tank light is now 144 watts instead of 384 watts. A picture on the left shows the old 192 watts and on the right 72 micromole watts at 90% brightness. Not even 100% and much brighter than my 196 watts. Second picture: Both lights are 72W set to 90%. I ordered 2 marine lanterns and 1 landed and a marine arrived. I think everyone makes mistakes. It was easily returned and replaced. The controls are a bit boring, as reviewers point out. Once you get used to it, it will be pretty easy with lots of preset programming points. Got rid of my old bulky AC timers. It would have been better if the cable between the lamp and the controller was longer for my setup. I didn't use any fasteners as they were on the edge of the tank. I cut out some small grooved blocks of wood and make my own mini shaped screw clamps that will hold the bulbs to my lantern. Lamps don't get hot. I have 4 small fans. Might decide to disable 2 as I no longer need to dissipate heat from the 384W. The hood is now also much lighter, of course.
