I've been making my own gel since Sally Hansen launched her line of gels and UV lamp in 2014. I quickly switched to Gelish, which was a lot more expensive but was considered (at the time) to be just as much better quality. (I've since found that Gelish is without a doubt the worst product I've ever used. Peels off within days - all of the nail's color comes off like a slab of color that rises above the cuticle or pulls away from the nail tip solves ). I also started using Ameili because of the changing colors and I love this brand, I just don't like the top coat. Anyway, I digress. I hesitated to buy them because of the long treatment time. After years of waiting 30 seconds and buying a product that took 60 seconds even with the amazing LED light, I was skeptical and a little upset. But I bought it anyway and tried it. Pros: very beautiful colors, does not roll, the product is not expensive. I love the size of the bottles - I don't know how many bottles of gel polish I've wasted so even though I polish my nails all the time the smaller bottles are easy to work with. I'm sure that's why they were able to offer more colors, so I'm a fan of theirs. Cons: Brushes are thick. It's actually a little tricky to work with because it's difficult to get the edges of the nails without hitting the cuticles or skin. But since this product doesn't flake off, I'm less bothered by the cleaning process before curing. Still, it would be nice if the brushes were thinner. In addition, the top layer does not shine. Some people might like a matte finish but I don't. With the glitter top coat the colors pop a lot brighter so after applying the top coat I apply a coat of gelish top coat which is actually my favorite top coat. The glitter in the photo is not from above in this box. Finally, 60 seconds is a scam. I could have my nails done in 20-30 minutes and now it takes twice as long...while I'm in front of the TV or whatever, I don't mind, but if I need to do a manicure I'll use one of my other brands .
