These bulbs are GREAT BUT MAKE SURE you buy 2 sets as 1 set will not fit the full cartridge size. I have a Dodge 1500 so we installed all 8 and used 2 wires from another kit to connect the back to the front. We placed 2 side by side at the back end and 2 side by side at the front end, freeing up 2 long cords. IMHO don't try to swap them, ground black, connector red and go! And yes, you connect them directly to the battery so you can turn them on and off whenever you want. I haven't played with the app much, but when you use the color wheel the lights do flicker a bit. Overall I think these are the BEST for the price. I would suggest again and again. Oh, and bring your own screws and plenty of zip ties. you will need them. 💪🏼 (Photos show half brightness.
