I have three. The earlier ones only have two wires with different tips that are connected. The newer version has four wires with insulating caps for the two that aren't used. Both work well, but the first has less dangling wires. A simple connection allows you to use your detector in multiple locations, but most importantly without unsightly cables strewn about the dashboard and windshield. A bit pricey for what you get but apparently I thought my effort was worth it for not assembling the necessary 50 cent components. Make this product yourself.
