Porous material, imperfect finish

At first I ignored the imperfection of the surface, but the lid of the bowl became oily after a few days of use. The replacement I ordered had an even worse finish with holes in the lid and a cracked panel. return both. I wish the quality was better because I really liked the design and the size (perfect for oil pens).
