Ok, the first thing to remember is that they are for VEGETARIAN, if not VEGAN! If you have no problem getting protein from cows (like whey) and can digest it properly/do not have any allergies then there is no real reason to even consider them. Are they anything like the regular One Whey Protein bars we all know and love? Of course not! They should? Of course not! Just as One Bars aren't made specifically for the Atkins, Keto, or Paleo diet, One Bars with plant-based protein may not be right for you. Everything in life is a compromise. How important is environmental protection to you? No animal products? To avoid getting sick by eating something you may be allergic to? If the answer to your question is somehow, somehow, maybe, or a lot, then you should definitely try these bars. They are definitely grainier than regular Whey One bars. Not so decadent and cute. They're smaller, however, which means fewer calories (also a lot less protein/since they're plant-based, which is probably a lot better for those looking to lose weight than gain mass), fewer carbs (more sugar alcohol), and still high quality fiber. The ingredients are top notch and they have a nice cinnamon flavor. The problem I think will be the texture for most people. Some are too dry or cardboard-like, especially when compared to One's non-plant-based protein bars, which feel like silky smooth velvet. Can you find the best plant-based protein bars? More than likely. I don't know as I'm not currently in the market for them. What I can say is that you should compare them to these and not regular whey protein bars. Apples to oranges as they say. Both fruits grow on trees and have seeds (right?), and then there are many differences 😉!
