My spaniel-mix is an odd size and after much consideration, I went for a large. It is a bit large on her but I believe the medium would have been too tight. I ordered the orange color b/c we live next to hunting land. I've only used it twice so far but I love that it is easy to put on my wiggly buddy. The exception is the two loops for the hind leg, which aren't bad to get on but not easy to get off the wiggler. These two loops are optional and I will probably only use them when it is windy to avoid the coat lifting up from the rear. I don't believe they will last long anyway, very stretchy so I will use as needed.I'm not one to dress up my dog but I must say she does look sharp in this coat. The chest area is well designed and I also love the built-in hole to attach a leash to a harness (vs. a collar). I do think it will keep her dry and warmer so I am quite pleased with this purchase overall!
