I bought this knife because of its small size - it fits easily in my pocket when I ride my bike. It works really well for opening the gate when I'm in the garage, although that's not exactly why people buy a garage door opener! It doesn't work so well when I try to open the door from the outside. It seems to have a very narrow sweet spot and it only works when I'm right in front of the door. It usually takes a few button presses for the door to open. It's ok for my purposes, though far from perfect. The remote control must be programmed by moving the switches inside. You will need a small screwdriver to open it - not included. Luckily I have a set of jewelry screwdrivers, but if you don't have them you may have to improvise to pry the case open.
