So my hard drive in my laptop stopped communicating on Christmas Eve and I ordered this to test the hard drive with the connector myself. Turns out the SSD still works great. The port itself is down. Was able to use this to transfer OS and files. What a lifesaver! Worked great and was easy to assemble.
