The keyboard becomes completely unusable. About 20% of keystrokes are no longer logged and every now and then it just starts repeating the last keypress endlessly until you turn it off. This is NOT a keyboard issue. I've tried three others and it's definitely KVM. Direct connection to PC works great. Looking at other reviews it seems like a lot of devices are dying completely around this time so I'm one of the lucky ones. The mouse still works. And I still get crappy 30Hz video. So I think it's better than a brick.
