The lever hook that attaches to the back of the louver requires a relatively thin louver so it doesn't properly grip the back edge at first. It took a few tries, but being plastic, it opened up enough to securely grab the trailing edge. Love the fact that you can tighten the crank without worrying about the blinds breaking and being pulled out of the vent. It just pushes the blinds. The base rests against the blinds above and below the clamped one. The mechanism that holds the phone is fine, but I prefer the one on my old Ottie phone holder. Luckily, the ball and base are each the same diameter, so I was able to attach an Ottie phone clip to the LISEN vent mount. So all good.
