reviews about unregulation are accurate. The straps under the boots are "adjustable", but the amount of velcro available on the strap is so small that when tightening, you will go past the velcro. The velcro on the lower leg is also too tight so you can adjust a bit but not much. The end result is that a well-designed lace hook can never be tight and general looseness will result in brushes and twigs getting caught between the gaiters and boots, pulling on them and twisting the gaiters until the boot strap Velcro comes loose. 4 miles overland with no track yesterday resulted in many pauses to reattach spats. Other than that they are good and if the manufacturer could provide a real adjuster to really tighten them around the boot and leg they would be a lot better. However, they are discarded after one "use". Not worth buying.
