Review on 💾 Rosewill RX100-PU3-25B - USB 3.0 9.5mm Slim SATA HDD Screwless 2.5-Inch Enclosure by Hartman Hernandez

Disappointed. I used to have a USB cable adapter from IOCrest (seems to be discontinued from Revain) but I went with this case so I wouldn't have to worry about my hard drive breaking. Speed comparison with Samsung Magician (using the same USB 3.0 port and hard drive): Rosewill USB 3.0: Sequential Read: 26 MB/s, Sequential Write: 5 MB/s, Random Read: 1123 IOPS, Random Write: 290 IOPSIO, Rest USB 3.0: Serial Read: 101 MB/s Sequential Write: 64 MB/s Random Read: 3258 IOPS Random Write: 1178 IOPS So much slower than a basic cable adapter from IOCrest. But in any case it works without problems. I knew it was for 9.5mm drives and my hard drive was 7mm, so there was some rattling that I solved by putting thick double-sided tape on the cover. Yes, and to open the case, you press with your thumbs and push the lid towards you (with the front towards you) - I didn't find instructions for this in the scope of delivery :S
