The wireless performance of this keyboard is terrible. I have frequent freezes and shutdowns. This keyboard, only bought in April, was draining my rechargeable batteries like a street kid eating candy right after Halloween. If everything worked as it should, this would be a basic no-frills wireless keyboard with a 4 or 4.5 star rating. The overall quality is fine. The key feels pretty decent and gets the job done, except its wireless interface is unreliable. It's not clear what the problem is. I have a desk lamp that I know emits some interference and this keyboard as well as other electronic devices that are nearby are affected by the lamp. But even when the lamp is off, this wireless keyboard hardly works even if the receiver is only 20 inches away from you. My guess is that this keyboard is so marginally designed that it starts to fail as soon as the battery voltage drops even a small amount, and that it's non-rechargeable (alkaline or maybe even lithium based).
