This blanket claims to be 100% cotton. MAY BE. On good days with blinkers. It is very loosely woven, very light; you can almost see through it. I immediately washed it in cold water like the label says. Maybe hoping it tightens that sloppy weave a bit, I don't know exactly, but. It came out of my (35 min) gentle dryer with "peeling" on it! I know from my 44+ year career with fabrics that 100% cotton doesn't pill right away! It has a slight "pop" (hand) feel, but I'll say it. All in all, the ONLY thing I like about this unkempt piece is the color. It looks very, very cheap. get what you pay for! Spend a little more and get much better quality.
