Overall this shelving system was useful. I originally ordered this for one of our children's rooms - our youngest daughter needed a place for hair ties and small toys. What I didn't take into account was how tall it was and it couldn't extend past the first two "shelves". So we moved it to the bedroom closet door, which is a traditional door, not a sliding door. We use it for various items and enjoy the convenience. Shelves are equipped with inserts for the bottom, which provides additional stability. The only thing we want to change is the protruding element. It's a nice and strong metal shackle, but it's too thick for our door and makes that door difficult to close.
