Double glue is not the best idea. Before contacting support I tried it.

My review is similar to the others listed but I thought it was worth repeating. Bought two sets of kitchen cabinet lighting and cabinet lighting. Double glue is not the best idea. Before contacting support I tried removing the pad without lifting it off the wall but to no avail. This was especially difficult for devices installed under my kitchen cabinets. Incorrect positioning when trying to reach between cabinets and countertops and in low light conditions makes changing batteries difficult. One day I contacted support via live chat (very convenient), they told me that the glue needed to be removed. So the glue is a ONE TIME USE. But they were unable to provide immediate instructions on how to remove walls and cabinetry without ruining the paint/finish. They said they would contact me within a few days with a decision. I think I'll look up glue removal on YouTube. If they work, I love them! But changing the battery is so troublesome that I may have to switch to a new product soon. I also agree with many who have indicated that the battery life isn't ideal either. It takes a lot of batteries and with regular use they last a month. UPDATE: Customer service informed me that they will email me instructions on how to remove the adhesive. I never received an answer. However, I got a survey. So I looked up the information on google and all of the adhesive removal instructions included remover fluids which will not work for this product as it is flush and sticks to the surface. So I tried tearing them down. I was like, "If they're expecting you to take it out, it can't do too much damage, can it?" This thing not only removed the paint, it also removed the drywall or any other material that was in my matching walls of was used in 1925. Oooh angry! I will never buy again! You don't need to do any DIY to use remote controlled lighting. It defeats the whole point, am I right?
