Review on πŸ“ HHIP 4400 0001 Indicator 001: Accurate Graduation Reading for Precision Measurements by Christopher Sullivan

Works well, especially for the price

So far I'm very happy with this gauge, especially for the price. I've only used this for a short time but the accuracy and precision seems reliable, the readings have been consistent and the action is smooth.I bought a device with 0.0001" division and 0-0.25" range (HHIP 4400-1250). Off From the tests I can run I'm confident that the unit is giving good readings to within thousandths of an inch and seems stable to within a few ten thousandths of an inch (but that's on the edge of what I can test). ./verify, maybe it's better not to know). The indicator was packaged in a cardboard box with a tag and two piece foam insert. It worked well when mounted on a magnetic base with a ridge on the back of the dial and in the caliper bracket was mounted on the stem. All the shortcomings at the moment correspond to the price and concern the details rather than the core of the device (lack of casing, a plastic window, etc.).

Pros
  • Stem: 3/8" diameter. Dial diameter ~2"
Cons
  • Some minor issues
