. I loaded the drivers for the CH340 chip and my computer "saw" the board, but the IDE still didn't load the sketch. I'm new to this area so I did some digging. I saw in 1 star that I was not alone. Then I read a review by Christopher Hill. He said to use the "Old Bootloader" option in the IDE and it worked great! These nanos are probably Chinese clones of clones and you probably wouldn't have the same issues with the more expensive nanos, but 5 for less than $20? The extra "work" was worth it.
