Bought for a new build as I've heard Thermaltake power supplies aren't that anymore are unreliable as their previous reputation would suggest. I turned it on for the first time to test the boot before compiling it in my case and heard an absolutely horrible fan rattle. Upon inspection, I noticed that an electrical component hanging from a wire was sticking out in the path of the fan. I was able to move the component by opening the power supply and applying some force, but this design bothered me so I took a closer look at the power supply. And yes, it's not highly rated compared to other power supplies due to power delivery concerns. I'm hesitant to use it as I need a power supply for my build, but low quality power supplies are one of the few things that can ruin a high performance system and other components. I will consider an upgrade as soon as possible, maybe to a well known quality brand like Seasonic. I probably won't take chances with Thermaltake parts again after this purchase unless I have a good reason to and would advise you to do the same.
