Works for mainstream USB devices.

Works well with PC. Doesn't support continuous connection, so won't work with videos or discs. Android devices detect when connecting and disconnecting. May work better with more input power (USB 3.2), the manufacturer information does not specify whether the micro USB is powering the switch or just downstream devices, or how much power the switch requires.
