I bought this tool at a reduced price but not by much. I have a 2011 Dodge Nitro that I installed a third party sensor that I wanted to use to reset. The dealer charged me almost $60 just to reprogram the sensor, but I found out later that my car didn't have this feature. The only way to program it is to inflate the tires to the desired psi and drive at a reduced speed for a short period of time. My sensor showed it couldn't be found so I bought this tool. I tried disconnecting the battery on my machine but the problem came back right away in case anyone is wondering. Now back to this wonderful tool. It reset my sensor but it didn't solve my problem. However, I will buy compatible sensors for this device because this tool allows you to use special functions with your own sensors. The tool had about three different reset methods, which also included details on how to enable them or use the tool itself to reset them. It can inform you about connection and battery, tire pressure and some other very interesting details. Overall, it does exactly what it promises to do and does it well. I believe the "kink" I encountered was a software issue. I didn't update the device right away, but it seemed to freeze after I plugged it in. It hung on startup and would not load. I'm assuming a software update will fix this, but I can't test it as it's a rare bug. I'm giving it 5 stars because I wish it had more customization options with other sensors, but that's fine and in the end my sensor was the problem. I will keep this device for myself because it will help with my other cars and sensors that I plan to buy next. Please note that this device works with TPMS only and does not diagnose or fix engine light problems.
