Due to a decorative feature under the top tube of my beach cruiser, I had trouble securing the bag with the canvas straps provided. I had no problem securing this sturdy bag with cable ties. In fact, it might even be the best solution if you want your bag to look tidy after securing it. (Using zip ties the same color as your frame allows you to conveniently hide the bag's attachment method to the top tube, resulting in a clean look. Don't forget to cut off any excess length of the zip ties after attaching them.) After my installation felt look at the bag as if it were glued to the top tube; There's no way this thing will fall! (Note that I used pliers to tighten the zip ties and a large flathead screwdriver to secure them.) There are other potential benefits: 1. The zip ties won't scratch the frame (use plastic zip ties, not metal ones) 2. The ties are very strong (heavy ties can hold hundreds of pounds)3. Since the zip ties are much harder to remove than canvas Velcro, it deters thieves. If you use zip ties in the same color as your frame, thieves won't immediately see how your bag is attached to the bike frame (unlike canvas straps, which make it very obvious). And the last piece of advice: don't do it. t pull the cable tie that attaches the bag to the handlebar stem; You want the stem to rotate freely. (You can always use more than one zipper if you're concerned about the vertical stability of the bag.) Anyway, have a safe trip!
