Too bad these devices are hard to find as it's the only reliable controller I've found that works with SmartThings. I've tried Aeotec devices and they either have insanely long delays when pressing a button or don't send any command at all. I use this device to control my bedroom light scenes - high, moderate, low/almost off and all off. The four buttons on the left are for temporary changes (ie changing this setting within 10 minutes) and the four buttons on the right are for instant changes. I'd say it requires some programming knowledge if you want to do what I do (I have custom Instant ST buttons that when triggered trigger an action in WebCoRE which then triggers the appropriate scenes using Lifx with the appropriate fade time) , but if you're fairly knowledgeable or just use it to toggle procedures or devices on and off, it's great. Since all the buttons have a hold function, they're not immediately active - it takes about a second to touch, but once the blue light flashes, it works great. If you're looking for a controller for SmartThings, skip the cheaper (and potentially more attractive) Aeotec devices and go straight to this one. It might cost a little more, but don't worry about something not working.
