Everything is ambiguous about this device. Yes, it works pretty well with CarPlay after downloading the app. However, after using it after a few seconds, turn off any other apps outside of CarPlay that you want to use. Even the radio. Disable the button and all standard functions will work again. So it's a cool tool, but it needs to be disabled to use basic apps on the Android head unit. The app to use it also has some dubious download sources, and with an imported Android mainframe, let's just say I immediately started receiving a whole bunch of new international spam emails (I live in the US) .
