Review on DUEBEL Woodworking Scriber Adjustable Carpentry by Allen Hart

So much slop for Scribers

Good: - Nice. This tool is very attractive. The wood contrast is very light and the finish is good too - sharp pins. The needles are very sharp. From what I got they are also very close to the same length. Bad: - sloppiness / movement. The bar fits into the block like a hot dog into a hallway. There's so much extra room that the bar will wiggle back and forth slightly even after you've done your best to tighten that thumbscrew as tight as possible. This crap prevents the tool from doing what it was designed to do: make accurate marks on wood. I think this could be fixed by mounting the block on either side of the bar, but I won't mess with that. I'm sending the sensor back and it's a shame because it's really nice. I gave this product 2 stars because it cannot perform its intended function, at least not well. A straight edge and a scribe knife is a much better option. I didn't give it a star because I think it can be repaired if you're willing to put in the effort and the materials used seem to be of good quality.
