I have these for the base of bookends that used to have little foam pads on the bottom. These bookends were very expensive, hand-painted bookends. One slipped and broke (I was able to successfully glue it back together), but I decided to take the rubber non-slip pads and replace the bad pads on the bottom. THIS IS NOT RUBBER. THIS IS NOT ANTI-SKID. I use them on an unfinished wooden dresser. The wood has an obvious texture so nothing can slip. These are furniture pads used solely to protect the floor and/or furniture, they do not act as anti-slip pads. The clear foam backing is really textured so it may dig into the ground under heavy weight and prevent movement, but it will be pure texture, not "rubber foam".
