I needed anti-theft protection for my electric smoker and grill that I have on my patio. I was able to thread the cord through the handles on both items and wrap it around a nearby steel pole. It worked great. It's very strong, and to cut it you'll need some sort of saw. I don't have to worry about anyone taking my smoker or grill for fun or real. You will need some type of combination lock to secure the two ends of the cable. If I want to use a smoker or grill, all I have to do is open the lock and just unplug the cord from the handle of the device I'm using. When I'm done, I simply thread the cable back through the handle and connect the two ends of the cable together. A very simple solution, but very powerful.
