I know I should wash before use, but I didn't expect the towels to come with a lot of lint. The bristles are multi-colored (some are towel-like, but also orange, red, etc.), so it's safe to assume that some of them were made from other microfiber materials in a factory with poor quality control. There are also spots where the edges look like "rubble" and the microfiber material is coming out. I'm wondering if I should have paid more for towels not made in China or just used a different brand. Update: Yes, wash twice on cold gentle cycle and 3 out of 9 towels the finish is coming off. Not advertised "EXTREMELY DURABLE: Withstands hundreds of washes."
