Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Astro Rivet Nut Drill Adapter Kit ADN14 for Pneumatic Tools by Gus Pierson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Saves a lot of manual work

I had a project that required 320 rivet nuts. I've had a trusted Astro rivet nut hand tool for years and it got the job done for coveralls and doubles, but I used up to 20 rivet nuts on this project before my weak hands gave out. I bought the pneumatic version of their tool and after figuring out how to use it I riveted the other 300 pieces in 3-4 hours. It's 3-4 hours with lots of beer breaks. I used a Milwaukee 12v impact drill with torque set to "2" and used M6x1mm nuts. With this setup I overtightened maybe 6-8 rivet nuts out of 300 and had to start all over again. percussion drill. I learned to work around this problem, but it slipped off the gun from time to time. Also, the only manual part of this tool is driving the rivet. At first I couldn't get the nut out after riveting it, but with practice I would get it out in one shot. Nice tool, glad I got my hands on it!
