I would give this device five stars if I was confident that this technique would definitely help with neck pain. I wouldn't call it a massager. It uses electrode technology to stimulate the nerves in the muscles. Once you understand how to use it, it will be easy to use. I have a thick neck so it fits me tight. It takes a few seconds for it to heat up and start pulsing, and if you move it the pulse will stop, so it's best to leave it where you want it until it's done. It's a comforting feeling that can become annoying if you stay in one place for too long. I could move and walk with it, but if you do it becomes less effective. I use it while watching TV or reading. I'm going to use it on my neck in about 3 spots for about 10 minutes each. I would stay, there may be temporary relief in the short term. If the pain persists, I recommend seeing a physical therapist. I wouldn't rely on this device alone.
