I'm not picky when it comes to fancy coffee makers. I've used really cheap and mid-range models, including some commercial models. This is definitely my favourite. Adding water is very easy. I had problems with other coffee makers because of the upstairs cabinets. Adding coffee is also very easy. I use a standard gold colored permanent filter which fits and works perfectly. It's easy to program. I have two small issues that I think could be improved. First, the carafe is difficult to empty. It's driving me crazy that I can't empty it easily. The other thing I don't like is something related. When you tilt the pot to pour the last cup of coffee, the lid tends to move and wants to fall off. This makes it harder to fill than it should be. The lid is easy to put back on if done at the right angle, but keeping it in place when pouring seems to be the best solution to me. Anyway, small annoyances for a good product.
