A couple of my dyslexic high school students used this pen and found it very useful. It takes a little practice to get better at scanning and sometimes it misreads a word, but most of the time it works fine. You can set it to scan with your right hand (left to right) or left hand (right to left) and adjust the speed. It scans English and Spanish. If there is no way for a student to get an electronic version of a document where they can highlight text and then "read" it using text-to-speech technology, then this is a very powerful solution. Our middle schoolers don't seem too upset by this.
