Simple termite treatment solution
As a dissolved mineral salt, this liquid has little or no odor, is easy to use, leaves no paint or oil and the residue is generally not harmful to mammals like you or your pets. But it kills termites and other insects and lasts indefinitely. The exterminator we consulted recommended borate salt spray for home use precisely because it's safe for the homeowner and lasts a long time (salts penetrate porous materials like wood). Note that the saline solution will darken or discolour the wood so use with caution on wooden patio furniture etc.
