Let me get one thing straight - the functionality of this item is great. It's bright, lasts so long and the three lighting modes are a great feature. I would just like to know that the metal part around the light wire (don't know what it's called) isn't that strong. I often try to set the light to stand in a certain way, like when I'm cutting it. My desk is on the side so I can read in bed without pressing it against my book and it just falls forward! It can't stand alone at any angle other than vertical, and isn't that the end of the metal coil? The light is so bright and the clamp is amazing but seriously, the adjustable metal spool sucks in terms of adjustment. For that reason I wouldn't recommend it, which is very sad considering the light is so bright and lasts so long on a single charge!
