Review on Thetford Dry closet Thetford Porta Potti 565 P liquid by Jnis Avoti ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product, a pleasure to use.

Great product, although not without flaws. There is no perfection. Everything is verycomnvenient. Clear fixation of all nodes. Everyone liked it. Now it's nice to go to the toilet. Stands in a barn, does not smell at all, even if you open a hole. It is better to serve immediately before leaving. On liquids to the toilet, it is recommended to service at least once every three days. But I filled everything from the purchase and did not service the toilet for 3 weeks :) it was hot, summer. Used the toilet only on weekends, 3 people. After 3 weeks I went to drain, everything is OK, almost no smell. It was probably half full. Rinse and refill. Everything went very clean and tidy. I am very squeamish, but there were a minimum of unpleasant moments :). I recommend the liquid in the photo, 600 the price of a can of 2 liters, enough for a long time. If it smells, add more. With our use, I think to serve once a month. There is a very good life hack, attach a drainage pump to the side. Which, by the button, will pump everything into the pipe, without parsing the toilet. Link: Like the guy if you like the idea.

Pros
  • Lightweight when empty. Made very high quality. Convenient to use. Great reliable manual drain pump. It is easy to remove the tank and put it back in place, unlike cheaper models. All latches work great. Gorgeous hole shutter handle. Fill indicator. With normal liquid and careful use, there is almost no smell.
Cons
  • There are many unnecessary bends inside the lower tank, in which decomposition residues remain during maintenance. It is recommended to wash twice. The lack of fastening to the wall, and the lack of a retractable method for removing the lower tank, so as not to touch the upper one. The drain pipe is located above the angle of inclination, in which residues remain when draining. The float inside has many facets and an open porous material that will absorb everything into itself, the float must be streamlined and smooth for normal rinsing. A thin cover on top of the pump gives a false impression of a handle, you automatically want to grab it and of course it will break off, the handle is a little lower. There are no bottom fixings to the floor. These are all thoughts that the engineers did not finish watching. A fully filled tank will be difficult to maintain. But if you take smaller sizes, then using the toilet will not be so comfortable.
