I needed an ethernet cable to connect the modem below to my computer above, which doesn't support Wi-Fi (and is also used occasionally on my laptop as my modem isn't the strongest is). It's definitely been long enough! There were no connection problems either. The only downside is that it feels a little flimsy. So if you are looking for something hard wearing/long lasting this may not be it. Mine rises and rotates close to the ceiling and stays in place so I'm not too concerned about wear and tear, but I had to be careful installing it because it wanted to bend a bit.
