Review on 🐦 Clear Weatherguard Acrylic Bird Feeder, 13" - Birds Choice WGCLEAR by Miriam Hettich

Bought this to provide shade so my metal bottomed hummingbird feeder doesn't get as hot. The direct sunlight was so hot that the birds didn't use it for most of the day. And heat also ferments the nectar. This does not shade the feeder from morning and late afternoon light but protects it when the sun is overhead in the heat of the day. The birds use it more often now and I don't have to worry about constantly changing the nectar. I have a husband who is confused by this. It circles over the guard looking for nectar ports, eventually dismounting and finding it. The females go straight to the nectar points. I think he refuses to stop and ask for directions.
