Well supplied alternator, perfect match for the Grand Caravan. At idle it delivers 14.4v. In bright light both fans are running at full power, radio, rear and front heater are running at full power and still outputting 14.1 at idle. There are several ways to replace the generator. Side Method: Maybe faster, but you get everything from the passenger's front wheel. Well, maybe you need a little more space. With this method, the air conditioning compressor is removed first. I choose the TOP method, it takes a little longer, I took my time and completed the project in 2 hours. Remove engine cover, air box (easy), drain about 1/2 gallon from radiator, remove and disconnect upper radiator hose and pull up radiator fan. There is plenty of room to work, the hardest part is working with the serpentine belt, so remove the air cleaner housing.
