AMAZING good DSLR for beginners

Bennett Christiansen β€” Pentax K50 Review β€” 12/11/15 I am an intermediate photographer and have had this camera for about two years now. If you are a beginner or an advanced photographer, this camera is for you. This CMOS sensor camera is weatherproof, which is very useful when shooting outdoors. It has a maximum ISO of 51,600, a shutter speed of 1/6000s (max) to 30s (min), in-camera HDR and image stabilization. It can even use both AA and Li-ion batteries. This camera is also highly customizable, with over 30 different color combinations and programmable buttons. Now let's talk about the pros and cons. The reason I would say this is a beginner-to-intermediate camera is because its true resolution is only 16.2 megapixels. That doesn't make it a bad camera, I've taken great pictures with it, it just means it doesn't have the best image quality, which the experts don't want. Of course, the resolution has an advantage. This camera only costs around $300, which is a very good price for a weatherproof camera. Most weatherproof cameras cost over $2,000. In addition, Pentax is one of the few companies that makes cheap weatherproof cameras, and if that's what you're looking for, then this camera is a good option. Unfortunately this camera has very few lenses available which isn't great if you plan to become an expert as you may need a lot more than 1 or 2 lenses. There are only about 110 lenses available, compared to twice as many as Nikon or Canon. Overall I would say that the Pentax K50 has some cons but the pros outweigh the cons. Given the various specs of the camera and my personal experience, I would rate it around four stars and would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for an entry-level DSLR. Here are some of my favorite photos:
