Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Wiktor Ambroziak ᠌

High-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

Departure for two winters, Skoda Octavia A7, engine 110 l / s. I really liked the rubber. Rides well in deep snow. At first I turned off the traction control and tried to get out of the snowdrifts by playing with gas, and then I realized that you just need to press the gas all the way and the car rushes like a tractor. The motor is strangled by electronics, but the revolutions are enough to drive tight. Feels good on ice. If there is thick porridge, and under it is ice, then be careful. Can swim. Rolled snow is simply beyond praise, you can misbehave. Another important point. Since the sidewalls are weak (soft), the wheels need to be pumped a little more. I have 225 50 17 I keep 2.4. There is still a nuance. When driving in a smooth turn on asphalt, you have to taxi a little, as if you are catching a car, apparently the absence of longitudinal grooves affects. All is well in a straight line. Can drive at least a kilometer with the steering wheel released straight. There were no spike losses in the first season. For the second lost 12 pieces from all wheels. And they fly out, and the nests are intact. Therefore, I picked up a worn-out tire from a tire fitting, dug out the spikes from there and calmly, with soap, finished the spikes. They sit like new and everything is in place. I'll do it again next season. Made in Germany. I recommend for those who have a real, not European winter.

Pros
  • The spikes are firmly seated. Rubber for real winter. In Hong Kong and St. Petersburg and other similar conditions, I would rather not recommend it.
Cons
  • Not for asphalt, for snow and ice.
