Not bad but has problems

I have a phone case with a strap that I attach the end to my belt. It has saved me from dropping my phone at least a dozen times this year. Unfortunately, the original strap broke at some point, so I needed a new one to attach it to the case. I decided to try this because it looked and is sturdy, but it has a few issues. First, the quick release is very awkward to use and you almost always need two hands. Even with two hands, it may take some time for him to let go. Second, although this strap is adjustable to make it shorter, you'll need to thread the cord through the wrapped portion next to the clip. If you do this, you'll end up with four cords, and the whole thing gets pretty clunky to hang from. The thing clings to things and generally becomes pain. I solved it by tying a knot in this section (see picture). Eventually I can remove the QR and replace it with another one. Since you get three and they're cheap, you can afford to experiment twice.
