Review on Dorman 697 706 GM Differential Cover: Ultimate Protection for Your Vehicle's Gears by Andrew Aldana

This cap fits my 2004 Chevy Tahoe 5.3L perfectly. It didn't come with a gasket, but I ordered the Fel-Pro anyway. Other than that, the only issue I've encountered, like others, is the drain plug. I pressed it firmly before installing, but then it still leaks. I removed the cork, wrapped teflon tape around it, tightened and now there is minimal dripping but it stays. While I haven't lost a ton of gear oil, it still annoys me that I have trust issues with the filler plug. If it gets annoying enough, I can just put some Gear Oil RTV on the threads and let it dry.
