It seems to be made of decent materials but poorly finished. Leaves a lot of room for installation errors. Not to mention that the very first measurement in the instructions is wrong! Glad we caught it before we ruined our custom made solid poplar door by drilling a hole in the wrong place! The track clutch is loose and difficult to align, it would be much better if it was machined. The rail is pre-drilled on 16" centers. In a perfect world this works great BUT in a typical wall mount the pins on the wall may not line up perfectly with the doorway. Luckily I bought a 9ft track for our 8ft door so I could cut the track and line it up with the wall studs. Had to drill a hole to make it work. For the 8ft door, the track had 7 pre-drilled holes but came with only 6 screws and standoffs. The seals for our installation were not thick enough, causing the door to rub against the trim around the opening. I had already replaced the thicker bar with a thinner one, but I still hit the bolts holding the carriage to the door. We drowned the bolts but still haven't gotten clear. After trying to adjust for over an hour, I finally ordered new spacers. So that added another $30 to the cost to make it work! I do NOT recommend this product! Especially for DIY projects. Experienced installers can get it working, but it will take time and a few extra dollars.
