I cleaned the floor before applying. I used a microfiber cloth and rubbed it with my hands. Really left a nice shine. It dried dull, blotchy, streaky and uneven. He showed every stain and ounce of damage on the floor. It's terrible. The kitchen looked like an absolute disaster. When the sun hit the ground, it seemed like the ground was rotting. When drops of water fall on the floor, stains and streaks remain everywhere (even after drying for 24 hours). I've used it in two rooms and I'm so thankful I didn't clean all of our floors. We have around 4,000 square meters of floor space. The next day I bought some ammonia and wiped it all off and then had to get down on my hands and knees with a magic eraser to wipe away the last of the glitter. Very very glad it was relatively easy to remove (I had to do a little work on the elbows but it wasn't difficult, just took a long time). I will never recommend this to anyone.
