Overall the cesspool sensor works quite well. If it continues to work well, having it in place will be very helpful. I recently found that my main drain pump had stopped working and the water level in the sump had risen significantly. Luckily the backup pump kept the water from overflowing, but having that sensor on lets me know about problems with the main pump. The main issue I have with this sensor is that it requires a 2.4GHz WiFi connection. Not many devices require this yet, and I didn't even have an active 2.4GHz signal on my network, so I had to add it. Also, the SSID for this WiFi connection cannot be hidden during the initial setup of the Proteus sensor. Also, make sure you don't have a guest portal that requires special confirmation or login before connecting to the WiFi. If you have a guest portal, Proteus will connect to your WiFi network, but you will not receive an initial setup email or any of the subsequent notifications. After adding a 2.4GHz signal, allowing the new SSID to broadcast, and disabling the guest portal, the Proteus sensor connected correctly. I went back and hid the SSID after the initial setup, reset the hotspot and reset the Proteus sensor. After the reboot everything was connected correctly and the alerts continued to work.
