This desk and the worksheets are a hit with all my grandchildren up to the age of 5. Little ones don't quite understand how we do it until about 3 years old, but if you sit down with them and try to show them they'll do a lot better. I would suggest two things. The table should be attractive to older children. It should be bigger, with longer legs and a safer adjustable chair - or just big enough without a chair for a child's chair (perhaps a folding chair) to sit on. My 4 and 6 year old granddaughters look at the table like a child's table, although the worksheets have tasks that can challenge them. They will use it when I'm hanging out with them, but they don't like trying to sit behind it because it's too small for them.
