I had a problem with the speed controller going crazy. When driving forward, he arbitrarily applied the engine brake. I unplugged the speed sensor and only got 5mph but the speed was stable (I've read that if the sensor fails completely it's a failsafe). When reversing, I had a good stable speed whether the sensor is connected or not (the speed sensor should not be used as a controller when reversing). My old sensor was the cause of all the problems. The old sensor didn't look bad from the outside. It must all be internal problems. I also installed the speed magnet at the same time, since I had it separately. Featured!
