Based on other reviews of this product I thought I could go a few miles an hour faster but that's definitely not the case. I have the 2014 Club Car Precedent and had a top speed of 12 mph, once installed it still does a whopping 12 mph. I didn't have high expectations of turning it into a 30 mile drag racer but I did expect a small gain . Well, it's time to update the controller.

My golf cart would stop suddenly if I didn't press the accelerator all the way down. In addition, speed was limited to 5 mph, except for occasional speed spikes of a second or two. This part solved the problem with my golf cart. I had to cut the plastic material with a file to get a socket on the top screw. The factory sensor was the same size and caused the same socket issue. I think you could use a wrench instead of a socket.

Bought this part for my mother in law's golf cart. No matter what I do, the car tops out at about 6 miles per hour. Ordered, replaced on the back of a real engine and repaired great! Two screws made it very easy. I had to jack up the back of the wagon and remove a wheel for better access, but all I needed was a small jack. Maybe I could replace it without lifting it, but that made it easier. I did not replace the magnet but was willing to do so if needed.

Received quickly, installed next day and was a breeze. Increased from 5 mph to 19 mph. Installation was quick too. No instructions, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist. Two components, a magnet and a wired hub. Loosen the two screws, remove the hub, then loosen the screw on the shaft and remove the old magnet. Mount the new magnet on the shaft, unscrew the hub, loosen the old one and put the new one in place. The job took 17 minutes, most of the time was spent on tools and preparation…

I had a problem with the speed controller going crazy. When driving forward, he arbitrarily applied the engine brake. I unplugged the speed sensor and only got 5mph but the speed was stable (I've read that if the sensor fails completely it's a failsafe).
